Joe Barron Is a professional artist who has been working his craft in Chicago, New York and Sarasota since graduating with an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in1988. He has won international awards and recognition, exhibited in museums and gallery spaces and has created designs for textile, fashion and Interior design clients including Ralph Lauren Polo, Hickey Freeman, Robb& Stucky and many others. He has worked at creative visual merchandising projects for Structure Stores and French Connection. He also assisted monthly show installations and coordination of events at Kathryn Sermas Gallery, New York.
Joe currently lives in Osprey, Florida where he creates unique murals, fine art and decorative designs and wall finishes for a variety of clientele including commercial projects as well as the homes of private clients in Southwest Florida's most exclusive residences. His Mural in The Garden Room at The Sarasota University Club was recommended as an Editor's Choice in Sarasota Magazine's Best of the Best issue in May 2004. His work has been seen in the Sarasota Herald Tribune and the Venice Gondier. His Madagaskar themed mural was featured in the cover article in the Magazine Housetrends-Greater Sarasota Winter 2006 issue.
